Lina is a Development Finance Specialist. She is a Master in Public Administration (MPA) degree holder, an Edward S. Mason Fellow from the Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government.

In her role at the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), Lina drives the strategic planning process and the implementation of the Forfaiting Unit to promote export development and industrialization in Africa. She has over 15 years of experience in Finance and Economic Development focusing on private sector development through promoting trade finance, SME growth and access to finance. Lina is interested in economic competitiveness and improving investment climate in developing countries. Her MPA degree and private sector background is a valuable resource in the development field. Prior to studying at Harvard, Lina worked for Afreximbank, the premier trade and export development finance bank in Africa. At Afreximbank, Lina managed a diverse portfolio of clients across Africa focusing on Structured Trade Finance, Syndications, Export development finance, while ensuring that these firms were not only competitive, but also operated in competitive economies. Before joining Afreximbank, Lina held several positions with the Wholesale Banking department at Standard Chartered Bank, Cameroon. Lina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from University of Leicester, UK and a Masters in International Business from University of London (Birkbeck College). She is a Member of the Board of the Agency for Transformation, AfT.
